In connection with the celebration of Foundation Day (27th July 2006) of Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, one week exhibition is arranged at National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) during 31st July to 04th August 2017. The Laboratories of NCESS will be kept open for the public especially for the students of schools, colleges and University departments. Students were invited to NCESS and special lectures of Scientists are being arranged as part of the Foundation day celebrations in its campus at Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram. Following institutions are participating in the programme organized in the current year, 2017.

Opened for Public

The first day programme was formally inaugurated by Director, NCESS, Dr.N. Purnachandra Rao. Facilities of NCESS in various laboratories of Petrology, Sedimentology, XRD, XRF, SEM, CCL, CGL, Geo-fluids, PSA and MAPAN will be exhibited for interaction of students/public. A number of rock/mineral specimens, posters and models are placed for the benefit of visitors at the top floor of CoP Group (Coastal Processes) Block.
