M.Tech : 1980, Mineral Exploration, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
M.Sc. : 1978, Applied Geology, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad

Research interest:

Trained in structural geology including the UNESCO training (Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun) and has interest in varied fields applying earth sciences to the society problems like, Environmental Impact Assessment of water related projects, terrain evaluation for landslides and slope stability problems, Micro level surveys for natural resource evaluation and regional planning, water prospecting and conservation techniques etc.

Present research interests are in Groundwater prospecting, Landslides, Terrain evaluation and slope stability, geomorphology and Neotectonics in relation to natural Hazards.

  2. Member- State level Faculty on watershed development
  3. Member- Expert committee on Stability
  4. Member- Task group to monitor natural hazards
